The Musical, 2026

My role: Lead Scenic, Scenic Artist Production Designer: Liz Toonkel The Musical has not been released yet, so I can’t share a lot of photos.  It was a small indie film that I have already seen the trailer for and looks amazing!   Theater set. School play. Spray painted hands. Spray paint hands Theater set, school play. Painted cityscape and taxi. Painted cab cut out Had assistance from my daughter, Violet! Help from Violet I drew out the cab, did basic coloring – then Joey and Violet finished off the highlights and details.

Forever Eden

Reality TV Show/ Fox Television Job title: Lead Painter, with Wendy JerdeOn location in Port Antonio, Jamaica We moved into an existing resort that had been shuttered since the 80s!  Construction rebuilt it and redesigned it, while Wendy and I painted it, but then did a scenic job to make it look aged and worn down again. (Aged, but now clean and colorful) Then construction built a fake temple, with sculpted elephants.  Elephants and stone construction were all foam, that we then painted to look like stone.

Joe Millionaire II

My job: Lead painter/ Scenic ArtistProduction Designer: Dan Butts Fox Reality Show. On location in Italy.Below: Art Department had to cover wall space in historic villa.  (Villa Oliva in Lucca, Italy, dating late 1400s). So, I had to make super quick portraits that would blend in with the decor. We also quickly made and aged the frames.

Miscellaneous Film & TV I

A mish-mash here, all as lead painter.  Academy Awards opening films (several years in a row), Mexican Captain Crunch commercial, The Chimp Channel, (tv series), and two feature films: The Dogwalker, and Shade. The Dogwalker was an indie film, where I was Lead Painter AND Art Director. One of the videos for Billy’s Opening Film (2004) which is mostly featured below, can be seen here.
